In most American homes there is a surprising balance between the amount of water used for bathing and for flushing toilets – both represent about 30% of household internal water use. Greywater Recycling allows you to take advantage of that balance by re-using the bathing greywater to flush toilets.

Greywater systems have three basic steps:

  1. Collect used bathing water – the greywater - from baths and showers.
  2. Filter and disinfect this greywater.
  3. Store and supply the filtered water to toilets on demand.

The Water Legacy WL-55 system represents the latest advance in residential greywater systems. Its main innovations are:

  1. No chlorine – other systems use chlorine which pollutes indoor air quality.
  2. One year autonomy – the filtering and disinfection systems have a minimum one year cycle between required maintenance.
  3. Validated failsafe – to assure proper toilet functionality in case of power outage or no use of showers or baths.
